the workflow diagnostic

The Workflow Diagnostic

$4,750, ten days. How long a brief actually takes to move, and what’s stopping you from making your budget.

One workflow, end to end. Usually the brief path: from the request landing to the asset delivered.

Not the whole studio, not every work type. One line, measured properly, because one measured line tells you more than five estimated ones.

what gets measured

Three numbers, by work type.

From brief to delivery.
Days from the request landing to the work going out.
Time on task.
How many of those days anyone was actually advancing the work.
The gap between them.
That is the waiting, and that is where the money is.

Most teams have never counted the third one. It is usually the largest of the three, and it is the one nobody is accountable for.

what you get

Seven things, in a document you keep.

  • From brief to delivery, measured, by work type, with the queue and time-on-task split
  • Where the studio sits, what the next step looks like, and what it is worth
  • The map of where the hours actually go, not where everyone assumes they go
  • The leaks, ranked, with hours and dollars attached
  • The written standard, started. The beginnings of what good is, what disqualifies a piece, what has to be checked
  • A costed ninety-day plan
  • A forty-five minute walkthrough

what it deliberately is not

  • Not a tool recommendation or a vendor shortlist
  • Not a strategy deck
  • Not a proposal in disguise

If the honest answer is that your workflow is fine and the problem is somewhere else, that is what the document will say.

price and terms

$4,750

Plus GST. Ten business days.

The Diagnostic is the first step of the work rather than a separate purchase. Start the fix within 30 days and $2,000 of the fee comes off the price. It still stands alone: stop after ten days and you keep the measurement, the written bar and the costed plan.

how it works

  1. 1

    Book a Fit Call.

Twenty to thirty minutes, no deck. Enough to work out whether this is worth doing, on both sides.

  2. 2

If it fits, I invoice and book the start date.

    No card required.

  3. 3

    Ten business days.

I talk to the people who actually do the work, and I measure rather than estimate.

  4. 4

    A forty-five minute walkthrough.

    And you keep the document.

what happens after

Whatever the Diagnostic finds, the fix is scoped from it rather than sold ahead of it.

Most land under $10k, inside a director’s sign-off. Some teams need the standard written and nothing else. Some need one workflow rebuilt end to end. Some need someone alongside them until it holds.

You will know which, because the Diagnostic will have told you.

I’m running three pilot diagnostics this quarter at no charge, in exchange for a named case study and a testimonial if the numbers stack up. Two conditions: a team of five or more, and you are willing to be named. If that might be you, say so on the call.
